In the city of Rosario, Argentina, nine members of a drug trafficking band were arrested in the latest hours as part of the Plan Bandera, organized by the Ministry of Security, authorities confirmed. The arrests, carried out by the Federal Investigations Department (DFI) of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), were made during a dozen raids, in which a kilo of cocaine and seven kilos of marijuana were also seized, among other evidence. The detainees, all of Argentine nationality, were placed at the disposal of the investigating magistrate for violating the National Drugs Law (23.737). All of them were part of a criminal band led by Claudio 'Morocho' Mansilla, a notorious drug lord linked to Esteban Lindor Alvarado, another criminal who is imprisoned in the Ezeiza penitentiary. The current investigation dates back to December 2025, when the Special Operational Investigations Division (DUOIE) Rosario of the PFA began a series of investigations into a criminal organization dedicated to the sale of illicit substances. These tasks led, in January of the current year, to the execution of 21 raids, which allowed the partial dismantling of an important section of the criminal group. However, and as learned by the Noticias Argentinas agency, the investigations continued and made it possible to verify that other members of the gang took control of the criminal activities, with the illegal trade of narcotics. Likewise, with the consent of the Microtrafficking Unit of the Prosecutor's Office of the Ministry of Public Accusation, headed by César Luis Pierantoni, officials continued with the development of field tasks and the analysis of the collected information, managing to identify a total of ten addresses. Consequently, the College of Judges of 1st Instruction of Judicial District No. 2 of Rosario, headed by María de los Ángeles Granato, ordered the federal police to carry out the respective raids, which were carried out on homes located on Misiones, Pasaje 1756, Boulevard 27 de Febrero, Uriarte, Saavedra and Boulevard Seguí streets.
